MLB Player Prop Trend: Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 2.5 Strikeouts
Playoff Baseball is here, and it’s time to cash in on Yamamoto’s dominance! Buckle up, folks—October baseball brings out the best, and we’re talking about one of the biggest STUDS on the mound this season: Yamamoto! This guy has been nothing short of electric, boasting an 89% hit rate with an average of 5.8 strikeouts per game this season. Over his last 10 games, his hit rate even jumps to 90%, still cranking out that same 5.8 K’s on average. Now, here’s where things get interesting: books have Yamamoto’s 14.5 outs juiced tonight, meaning they’re expecting him to easily go at least 15 outs. And guess what? At 14 outs, Yamamoto is 13 for 13 in his career—he’s hit this number EVERY SINGLE TIME, no exceptions. Sure, the Padres aren’t exactly notorious for striking out, but they’ve been averaging 7.6 K’s over their last 5 games, giving Yamamoto plenty of room to work his magic. With his consistency and tonight’s matchup, Yamamoto is sitting in a prime spot.
MLB Player Prop Trend: Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 HRR
Shohei Ohtani is making his first-ever appearance in the playoffs, and well, it’s SHOTIME! (had to do it) Ohtani has been on fire with a 90% hit rate over his last 10 games, averaging 6.2 HRR (hits, runs, RBIs), and an 80% hit rate with 3.7 HRR over his last 20 home games. He’s facing the Padres, against whom he’s averaging 3.1 HRR at home this season. Even better, he’s up against RHP Dylan Cease, a pitcher he’s been dominating with a .333 batting average and 1.345 OPS over the last five games. Against right-handed pitchers in his last 10 games, Ohtani boasts a .588 batting average and a 1.749 OPS. Cease relies heavily on his four-seamer and slider—pitches that Ohtani crushes, hitting .310 BA with .465 wOBA against the four-seamer and .328 BA with .565 wOBA against the slider. With his prop set at just -140, this is an absolute steal.
MLB Player Prop Trend: Bobby Witt Jr Over 0.5 Hits
Are you even surprised to see Bobby Witt Jr here? The man is straight-up GOAT material when it comes to delivering hits. We’re talking a 90% hit rate over his last 10 games, averaging a solid 1.3 hits per game, and that’s no short-term fluke—he’s been crushing it at an 85% hit rate over his last 20 games. He’s hit this line in 129 out of 162 games this season—absolute madness! Tonight, he’s facing the Yankees, against whom he has a ridiculous 92% hit rate, averaging 1.5 hits in his last 13 games. And who’s on the mound? Gerrit Cole. Sure, Cole’s an ace, but Witt has his number, boasting a .400 batting average and a .353 wOBA against him. Bobby’s been even smoother against right-handed pitchers recently, sporting a .435 batting average and a 1.022 OPS over his last 10 games. Nearly half the time, Cole throws the four-seamer, and Witt handles it with a casual .308 batting average and a .430 wOBA this season. The numbers speak for themselves, folks—Bobby Witt Jr. is a certified hit machine, and betting the over on his hits tonight is the move.
FYI: I combined all three @ +173 on Hard Rock.
